Astrology Consultations

Astrology is a great tool for personal growth - it can deepen your understanding about who you are and give you direction and context for your life's path. I will be looking at the placement and expression of the planets in your birth chart to capture the central themes in your life and include current transits as they activate different aspects of your life. My readings are designed to explore your issues and questions together in a confidential one-on-one consultation, and are not about predicting the future.

To calculate your chart I require the following information from you at the time we make the appointment:

- the date (your birthday),
- the place you were born (city or closest town)
- the accurate time when you were born (first place to look is on your birth certificate)
If your birth time is unknown or vague ("sometimes in the afternoon") I can only offer a general, less individualized reading. In some cases it is possible to narrow down the layout of the chart through questions about your life, but it's time consuming and not an exact science - call me for details.

After calculating your chart (I use specialized astrology software) it will take me about 1-2 hours working through your chart to understand its dynamics and themes in preparation for our session. I don't utilize computerized analysis, but rely on my 16+ year experience with astrology.

At the time of the consultation you will receive a print out of your chart(s) to take home with you. The consultations usually are between 1,5-2 hours long and will cover the most important themes and issues.
You don't need to know anything about or 'belief' in astrology to gain insights with my readings. In case that you are familiar with your chart and astrological concepts I will gladly skip the basics and go directly into deeper layers in our consultation.

At the end of the session you will receive an audio tape recording of the actual session, so you can fully participate without missing any information later. You are also welcome to bring your own recording device, if you have no means of playback for audio tapes.

My fees are $90 for 90 minutes and additional $15 for every 15 minutes thereafter.
Follow-up visits or updates for existing clients are usually shorter in duration.

I also have gift certificates available, which make unique gifts for your loved ones.

Lilith's background and philosophy in astrology

I started studying astrology nearly 20 years ago in Germany during my training as healing practitioner. I have given readings for almost 17 years and have taught basic astrological concepts over several years. I like to draw on mythology, archetypal imagery and common sense to weave the abstract language of astrology into a useful tool for personal growth. For the past 10 years I have been working as an independent transformational counselor and facilitated retreats and monthly circles for women as 'Dragon Dream'.

Q: What is astrology?
A: Astrology is the study of planets and stars in their interrelationship with life on earth. Expanding on the concept of a science, astrology also integrates the art of interpretation and knowledge of the human spirit. Based on the belief of interconnectedness 'As Above, So Below', the sky is seen as a mirror to what is happening on earth. The concept of synchronicity applies in that planets do not cause events or specific personality traits, but rather indicate the particular energy each moment carries.

Q: What is a natal chart?
A: Based on time and place, a natal (birth) chart is like a snapshot of the sky taken at the moment of birth. Like a unique blueprint, it can show the resources, skills and potential that accompany a person on entry into the world. More than just a map, it can give a deeper understanding of oneself and can help one make educated choices to further one's life path.

Q: What are transits?
A: Planets never stop their endless dance in the heavens and their movement can be related to a natal chart as indicators of changing energies and times of growth for individuals.

Q: Why should I have my transits done more than once?
A: There are almost always some transits affecting a person. Reflecting the changes and self-developement in one's life, looking at transits on a regular basis can help one create one's life path more consciously and provide helpful insights.

Q: What is a solar chart?
A: It is the transit of the sun in its current position over the place the sun was at birth, which happens every year on or close to a persons birthday. A solar chart can give a preview of what issues can arise for the next year.

Q: What can I learn through relationship charts?
A: Astrology can help one understand the interaction between 2 people, whether they are friends, lovers, partners or relatives. Becoming aware of how (for example) communication is used by each individual, relationship charts can help improve relating to each other.

Q: Where can I find my birth time?
A:Your best bet is to look on your birth certificate or hospital records. Mothers are somewhat unreliable (no offense), since they were occupied with other matters than keeping time in that moment.
Please be aware that I will charge you an additional fee of $40, if you initially give a incorrect birth time to cast the chart and you want a new reading based on the accurate time.

Q: What if I can only estimate my time of birth?
A: You need to know that even 5 minutes can shift the natal chart. Please try contacting the hospital or records office in the county where you were born. If all attempts fail, there are ways of narrowing down the possibilities, but it is extremely time intensive and not entirely exact.
